The Weston Park Country Fair finally opened its gates at the weekend, with thousands of visitors making their way to the park to enjoy a full weekend of superb performances, excellent sporting competitions and, of course, lots of shopping opportunities too.

This weekend’s warm welcome was certainly felt by all. With the uncertainty of the last few years and the impact Covid has had on so many small businesses and the events industry as a whole, it was joyous to be able to open and to see so many positive country fair revellers enjoying everything that was in store.

Thousands arrived over the weekend and were treated to the amazing Main Arena performances with the awesome Knights of Middle England bringing their show-stopping act to the masses, as well as the Skydiving Team from the Royal British Legion who parachuted their way into the showground – a truly fantastic sight to see up close!

From the superb Kids Zone, which had an abundance of free activities for the little ones to enjoy, to the World Hunter Field Target Championships, which welcomed 360 competitors from around the World, Weston had a variety of country-inspired pursuits and competition for every age and for every interest to experience.

As well as a full Countryside Arena with plenty of country-inspired features such as falconry, wildfowling and gundogs, elsewhere visitors were also able to enjoy the Fishing demonstrations, a Field-sports Arena, a Traditional Rural Crafts section and a wonderful British Heritage Breeds & Gundog Pavilion too – home to more gundog breeds than ever before!

We also welcomed the ever-popular Food Festival complete with Chefs Demo Area this weekend too, which housed lots of local Chefs and plenty of gorgeous home-made produce for visitors to sample and take home.

The Weston Park Country Fair’s Director, Jerome Roberts, says: “What a weekend it’s been at Weston! We are delighted that so many of you decided to spend your day with us. After a very difficult couple of years for events in general and for many traders and exhibitors, it is a pleasure to see our countryside attraction off the ground and to such a welcoming crowd.

The response by our visitors and exhibitors continue to inspire us and we hope to build and develop our event by listening to our most loyal exhibitors and visitors. We’ve had a fantastic weekend celebrating with all of you and we can’t wait to bring Weston back next September too. Thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend and made it so special!”

The Weston Park Country Fair returns to Weston Park next year over 16th & 17th September 2023. Keep in touch with all the latest news via our website at www.westonparkcountryfair.co.uk
